Wow! Can you believe it snowed! I hope that you are enjoying your snow day!
Here are some activities to help make your day even more fun. .....
Measure the snowfall with a ruler. ......how deep is it? check it later in the day and see if it changes.....
(you can try other ways to measure the snow...use your leg?....a spoon?.....your dog?......haha! have fun!
Count the snowflakes that fall out of the sky! Can you do it?
How many snowflakes can you catch in your mouth? Try it with your mom or dad....who is the winner?
What is your favorite?
making a snow angel .?....building a snowman...?.....sledding.....?
Help your mom and dad shovel your path.......
Do a craft.
Color a picture together.
Make a book with your child. Ask your child to read to you!!!

Your preschooler can read! Did you know that reading “Environmental Print” counts as a pre reading skill? Reading a preschooler’s environment includes…. food! The grocery store and your food pantry. This DIY book is easy to make and costs almost nothing. Start with the products right in your kitchen. Here’s a simple way to add some beginning reading skills to your home. Make them a book
1. Look for recognizable food boxes in your pantry or at the grocery store. (Let your child decide!)
2. You can cut out the entire front of the package,
3. Punch holes in the side, add office rings to make a book....or you can cut out the food labels and have your child glue them to paper.
4. Ask your child to read to you!
